Train Like a Mother Club: Who are you?
Good question. Train Like a Mother Club is a branch of Another Mother Runner, started by Dimity McDowell and Sarah Bowen Shea, who wrote Run Like a Mother, a chatty, advice-filled book . Two more books followed, as well as a podcast, store, retreats, and vibrant social media presence.
I’m not a mother—or a female. Will the 10-mile program still work for me?
Definitely! All elements of our training programs, designed by expert coaches, work for all types of runners regardless of gender (or parental status!). Train Like a Mother programs have helped thousands of runners successfully across countless finish lines with smiles on their faces.
How can the 10 Mile Program fit first-timers and runners wanting to push their pace?
Almost every week in the program, there are 1-2 Ramp It Up (RIU workouts) that involve intensity, including hill repeats, intervals, or race pace miles. You can opt to use them, depending on your running history, current fitness and race goals, or opt to follow the other workout offered for that day.
